Presence at the XVII CIAC Journeys, dedicated to Elvis Presley and popular culture of the 20th century, on February 24, 2023, presented as follows:

The motto of the meeting remains: to bring researchers together to share, problematize and discuss projects, publications, methodologies, concepts and paths. The program of the XVII CIAC Journeys is already available here, highlighting the thematic panel Elvis Presley and popular culture of the 20th century, with keynote speakers Mathias Haeussler (Regensburg University, Germany) and Mark Duffett (Chester University , UK); researchers Joana Palminha (CIAC/UAlg), Marta Mendes (CIAC/ESTC-IPL) and Caroline Govari (University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos, Brazil); and author Douglas Brode.

In addition to the thematic session, the XVII CIAC Journeys have the usual panels aimed at research produced and hosted at the Centre. In this edition, interventions are planned on pedagogical and artistic practices of some CIAC projects; communications in the field of audiovisual language; as well as presentations of new publications and the Center’s communication working groups.
