Participation in the online seminar Memory, Trauma and Narratives about the Self, promoted by the University of Coimbra, May 26, 2022, presented as follows:
This session is about “Refugees’ traumatized selves. Identities, remembrance and the challenges of integration”. Dr. Susan Rottmann (Özyeğin University) will talk about “Home and Heritage: Agency and Resistance in Integration Processes for Syrian Migrants in Turkey” and Dr. Elsa Peralta (CEC, Universidade de Lisboa) brings a communication entitled “Decolonisation migrations: forced, coerced or voluntary returns?”. This session will also count on the participation of the Portuguese Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS), represented by Nuno Costa Jorge and Rosário Suárez Nelson who will speak about “Follow-up and Reconciliation, Resilience and Trauma”.
