The text from the Rede H working group regarding the National Housing Programme, under public consultation in late 2021, published in IntelCities, stated the following:
“The National Housing Program (PNH), provided for in article 17 of the Basic Housing Law, is assumed as “the programmatic instrument of the national housing policy that establishes, in a multiannual perspective, its objectives, priorities, programs and measures”. A PNH proposal in public consultation, designed for the 2021-2026 time period, is therefore of extreme relevance in view of the housing problems we face and which lack a concerted response. For this reason, we regret that this public consultation, taking place until the 15th of December [2021] coincides with the end of the current legislature and the dissolution of the Assembly of the Republic, condemning its real discussion, necessary reformulation and continuation. Despite this, aware that elections are approaching and that the debate on housing is a priority, we leave our opinion regarding the base document now presented.”
